That being said, there will also be daily competitions and challenges as well as leaderboards and a "season" structure to spice up the competitive side of the game. The main draws will be the titular 100-player Tetris Royale mode and the Marathon mode where players can practice by themselves. While we have not seen the game in action yet, Tetris Royale seems to be taking a lot of cues from Tetris 99, especially the post-DLC version, in what it includes. Our team at N3TWORK is inspired to partner with this incredible brand and create new ways for millions of mobile game players around the world to play, compete and enjoy Tetris at an unprecedented scale." N3TWORK CEO Neil Young is excited about this agreement, saying that " Tetris is a timeless pop culture icon that has shaped the history of videogames and is truly loved around the world. According to The Tetris Company, Tetris Royale is only the first title in a multi-year partnership that will allow the pair to bring more Tetris games to mobile platforms. N3TWORK is best known for Legendary: Game of Heroes, a mobile puzzle RPG, so Tetris Royale will be a change of pace for them. Tetris 99 has clearly generated enough interest too, as N3TWORK and The Tetris Company revealed Tetris Royale for smartphones today.Īs the title indicates, this is a battle royale Tetris game for iOS and Android. Despite its simplicity and my typical aversion to battle royale games, I could not help but get hooked by this interesting take on what is probably the best puzzle game ever made. So rather than try to rely on endless anecdotes, I'm wondering if there are any reliable resources of emulation data for specific games on specific hardware using specific configuration.Surprisingly, Tetris 99 has become one of my favorite and most played games of 2019. I'm seeing a lot of the same sorts of inconsistent info that you get on emulation on a Pi 0: a known consensus that SNES emulation is wonky, but then people saying that they've totally gotten things working perfectly with overclock or resolution/TV combo, then other people saying that they're wrong and don't know how the game is actually supposed to play or that they're going to burn their Pi out in a week. So, I'm looking to gather as much info as possible about how specific games run on a Pi 3. However, if it's not going to work reliably either, I'd rather not sink the time and money in. I'm fine with getting a 3 if it can be configured to play them without issue, I'm always up for a project. Of course, I know now after attempting to play them that several of those will run fine and several more will chug along while suffering, begging for death. I was (and am) focused on the main classics: Kirby SS, SMW1/2, Metroid, LttP, Mario RPG, Star Fox, etc. My primary interest, like many, was SNES emulation. Some backstory: I picked up a Pi 0 W on a whim a while back and decided that using it as a tiny emulator to take around would be fun. Given the individual performance of each particular game on an emulator, are there any resources for how specifics games run on what settings on a 0 or 3? Before getting a 3 set up I'd like to know whether it will work well for what I'd like it to do.
